Tip Of The Day: My Fitness Pal App

Morning Dolls!!!!!Hope everyone is well..

So I thought I'd do this blog post because we have been discussing the whole "get in shape" "loose weight" topic!!

I discovered this wonderful app on the Iphone called My Fitness Pal,I lost half a stone in 3 weeks using this app!It is so good as it allows you to record and keep track of exactly what you eat.

I took some screenshots so I can show you:




So this is what your presented with before you actually install the app!the first thing that caught my eye was the ratings, And how many newspapers and magazines its been featured in!

It gives you an overview of what the app can do!




















Once youve installed the app, the first thing it asks you is how old you are,your current weight etc it also gives you an option to state how much weight you want to loose and by when.So its really good if you have an occasion coming up!but dont leave it to late!


This screen is what you would use to fill in the details of what food youve consumed.
For Example:

So you have a search bar,where you would put in what you have eaten,it will come up with the name of the product,the serving and how many calories are in that.over some time it will build a list with your most frequent foods,like mine has :)


One of the tabs are called Cardio,here is where you will search and excersise you have done through the day and how many minutes you did it for.It then subtracts this from the annual calories for the day!so if you ate a choclate with 89 calories and then worked out on the treadmill for 20 minutes and burnt 100 calories then you burnt the choclate off so its like you never ate it!YAY! :)


You also are given an option to put in how many cups of water you hav drank through out the day.Myself and Mahaim have discussed how IMPORTANT water is so drink lots and lots and lots of it!!!


And after you have completed your day and logged your entry you will be presented with this screen,which states how much I will weigh in 5 weeks if i carried on eating the way I did!The good thing is that it gives you tips on how well you are doing,so above it states that i need to up my calories as my body will go into starvation mode which will make it alot harder for me to loose weight!Because my days have been so hectic sometime I seriously dont get the time to eat!DO NOT do that!




Hope this app helps you as much as it helped me!!I still use this and I probably will for the rest of my life!!!Even when Im out shopping and we are grabbing something to eat,I will put it into my calorie counter and see how many calories it consists of!Another way I stop myself from having junk is Visualising the food on my Cheeks!LOL no seriously this helps haha :D
